Colours & Tiles
Use lighter, cooler colours. They feel airy and create an illusion of space.
The size of the tiles you use for your bathroom floor and walls matter a great deal. As a general rule, large cut tiles give your room a larger effect than tiles that are smaller in size.
Bathroom cabinets
The size of the bathroom looks bigger if the appropriate cabinets are put up carefully. Along with giving you extra storing space, cabinets also give your bathroom a much neater and cleaner look.
Light
Go heavy on the lighting. A skylight, a bay window or a glass block wall could do wonders, More light equals the perception of more space.

One of the most important element which enhances the beauty of a bathroom is mirror. A bathroom mirror reflects both natural and artificial light in your bathroom and makes it look more spacious.
Doors
In place of normal doors, go in for sliding doors to make your bathroom appear bigger in size. You will find that slide doors also make your bathroom more spacious.
